Discovery
I tried opening this site days ago but I was not able to and so, I decided to seek the assistance of a friend and that led to the writing of this post. I thought about blogging in September 2016 when I discovered my skills of writing and I did a lot of research concerning blogging.
However, as time passed, I let go of the idea and simply uploaded my poems on Facebook to be reviewed by friends and any one who cared to comment.
September 2017, I met Teefaith of Teens meet online who introduced me to Debbie Agboye and after series of conversations with her and reading her blog posts, I recalled my idea of wanting to have a blog. There was this particular night we spoke and after our discussions, I had a conversation with another friend which revolved round the activities we engaged in that day. And when he saw one of the articles I wrote, he pointed out that I could own a blog; and telling Debbie that, she encouraged me to open the site immediately. Wow!!! I was scared because I felt I was not prepared and so, I just decided to wait and continue writing before opening the site.
I went for an evening service in church the following day, and during the service, I got an inspiration of the blog's name to be "God chasers". I battled with my heart because I thought the blog would be named by me, I mean it would have my name as its nomenclature, gradually God brought me to the understanding of why it had to be that and I gave in. Accepting the name, I checked if there was another site with the name and there existed one owned by Jeannie and Tommy Tenney. Then I received God seekers and God Cravers. Our God is not an author of confusion, so I patiently waited and when I was trying to open the site, my friend encouraged me to use a neutral name but the Holy Spirit insisted on the name already given.
Let me say this, the Holy Spirit inspired me to open this site about two weeks ago but I felt it was too big a task and so I waited.
Right now, the confidence I feel is unexplainable and i can't seem to understand it myself. Before I conclude, let me say this, when I conceived the blogging idea in 2016, I only thought of writing about societal issues, nothing relating to God, in fact, I did not see the need to write for Christ. However, my meeting with Debbie shaped my thinking and now I know that if writing to impart lives is God's will for my life, then I would pursue that purpose.
Jesus is doing this, I am not...
Jesus is turning it...
Jesus turned it...
Let's do exploits for Jesus
