He Corrects

Image
Receive the counsel of the Lord For therein is life In his rebuke There is safety In his correction There is security He does not reproof out of anger He disciplines out of love He knows our frame How fallible we are Weak and without strength He understands our weaknesses He has walked in this body before However, he reproves us To help us from dieing He sends out his counsel So that We are not destroyed His faithfulness Is Constant They are new every morning Even when we are chastised His loving kindness Is ever sure Take heed, Beloved! The Lord corrects those who he loves, to prevent them from falling off. Do not despise his rebuke. Kindly drop a comment and share. I call you blessed.

A Review on The Movie; THE TRAIN by Mount Zion Production

Image
So, I watched the movie; The Train on Sunday and I was all shades of reactions, from ahhing to wowing. At some points I prayed, laughed, spoke to the person beside me and had deep thoughts within myself. The movie chronicles the real life story of Evangelist Mike Bamiloye, and it is a movie indeed for the season. Anybody who truly wants to know the definition of Purpose, must watch it. Anyone who wants to know the meaning of Walking with God, must watch it.  Purpose is not Instagram photos! Purpose is Death! You die to your senses and fleshly desires! Purpose is Crazy Faith! Purpose is giving yourself up! Purpose is being foolish in the eyes of man and seeing through the eyes of God. Watching the movie, I learnt so many lessons and I would love to share some here: 1. The Rocky Christian Journey:  The Christian Journey is not an all smooth or all rosy one. There are road bumps on the road, and it  takes the mercies of God and deep faith to walk it through.

Laying It Down

Image
I have found joy Sweet, sweet joy! I remember When I still struggled With life Trying to figure things out All by myself Trying to live life By my rules Serving myself Uh, subtle idolatry! Trying to fulfil My selfish desires Consumed with "I" Then satisfaction fled Nothing worked out Confusion set in He then told me... Lay it all down Give it away It was hard! It was difficult To let go It was difficult To stop being in control But it paid off! Clarity came Joy was restored Oh, how soothing it is When we trust God Joy! Pure joy Awaits us! Trust in his leading Lay it down! Who is in charge of your life? You or God?  Give all your plans away, let Him direct the course of your life, and you would see that He makes lives beautiful!

Be Still!

Image
Surrender your anxiety! Be silent and stop your striving and you will see that I am God.  Psalms 46:10a TPT So many of us, in the process of trying to live life and fulfil destiny, we find ourselves making plans of our own and all. And many times, this leads to anxiety, especially when things do not work out as intended. However, God is saying "Be silent, stop depending on your intelligence to figure life out, stop striving because I want you to thrive. Depend on me! Be still!"  To be still means, to wait upon God and not to struggle with his will. To be still, is to trust his instructions even when they sound weird.  To be still, is to stop struggling and give it all unto Him. Be still and you would indeed experience his Supremacy as God! Be still in this new month! Selah! Happy New Month!
